Diary Entry 1:  5 ways to enjoy making a Weekly Meal Plan

To me meal planning have always seems so difficult to create, and a planning that are pleasurable and fun that is even more difficult, because there is so much information online that it can be overwhelming for first time planners.

So I have created a list of 5 ways to make the meal plan so pleasurable that anyone can do it and apply it in their day-to-day routine, whether you are busy mom, a working mom or dad or just a single professional looking to spice your cuisine, I have created a 5 ways to make the meal plan fun and enjoyable!

 Meal plan during the weekend

Okay, I know you are saying to yourself, but I have heard that before, however, what I am saying is spend your Saturday and Sunday thinking about what you want to eat during the week and what your family will want to eat. Also, a meal is never fun to prepare by yourself so unless you live by yourself, ask the kids, your man or woman what they would enjoy for you to make, make it interactive.

To make fun and interesting pick a country for your weekly meal plan

As you spice up your meal plans, I will recommend that you pick country and create meals from that country for your weekly meal plan that will teach you about a specific country and also help you family learn more about a specific country. Example of this will be; last week I was speaking to my sisters who live with me about what they want to eat for the week, after much discussion we decided on Italy. So I went online and picked about 10 meals that seemed fun and quick to make during the week and created the meal plan accordingly.

Choose fun and quick meals

To continue from the last subheading, when creating your meal plans, always find quick and fun meals, an example of this will be Pasta Alfredo from the last week’s meal plan I created and I chose that meal for Monday’s dinner, because I am normally more tired on Monday than any other day of the week LOL!

Pre-prepared the meals when necessary

I am person that enjoys preparing all my meals from scratch and even I know that is not always possible to do, mainly because most of us live very busy lives that make it impossible to prepare everything from scratch. So my advice when necessary pre-prepared normally on Sunday meals that will take too long to make that way you can spend more time doing things that you enjoy.
