Diary Entry 6: Restaurants worldwide that makes you want to be a Chef!
I love going out to eat at least once or twice a month, and when I travel, I always scout the restaurants around the city where I will be staying.
After many travels and visiting various restaurants worldwide, I have come up with a list of the best and most hospitable restaurants I visited with no particular order.
Restaurant Cafe Del Mar – Luanda, Angola
It’s a Modern, sophisticated, relaxed restaurant and one of my favorites in Luanda. You get a unique gastronomical experience from their menus. It has a stunning view of the coast, with the sound of the waves in the background and the green of the coconut trees surrounding the restaurant, making a visit worthwhile.
Terraza Talatona – Luanda, Angola
Located in the space that previously housed the Zen-It restaurant in the Zenith towers in Talatona, Terraza is a beautiful modern restaurant with a contemporary interior design. Celestino’s creations and interpretations are tasty and visually captivating for modern cuisine lovers.
Nikki Beach Ibiza – Ibiza, Spain
Café Mambo is an aconic place that is located on the coastal rocks of San Antonio in Ibiza. Established in 1994 by Javier Anadon, the first ever Mambo opening party was mainly packed thanks to word of mouth (that’s how they did it back then!). Before long, Café Mambo was the hottest ticket in town, and everyone from music industry insiders to tourists and locals was vying for a sunset spot.
Café Mambo Ibiza – Ibiza, Spain
Café Mambo, located on the coastal rocks of San Antonio, has grown into a worldwide phenomenon, with great vibes and great food!
The Azure Resturant – Cape Town, South Africa
Voted South Africa’s Best Hotel Restaurant at the 2020 World Culinary Awards, Azure Restaurant blends panoramic sea views with a menu of exceptional Cape cuisine. Our menu champions local ingredients, particularly local seafood and sustainably caught fish. Local delicacies such as mussels, crayfish, oysters, prawns, langoustines, and squid take center stage on our elegant dining menu.
El Nacional Restaurant – Barcelona, Spain
El Nacional is the first restaurant in Barcelona with different areas where we can try traditional recipes from around the Iberian Peninsula, prepared with high-quality produce in unique surroundings. It is located at the heart of Passeig de Gràcia and reflects Barcelona’s social and cultural life.
Restaurant Belcanto – Lisbon, Portugal
At Belcanto, José Avillez offers a unique gastronomic and sensory journey. It offers contemporary Portuguese cuisine in a sophisticated setting that takes us on a journey in time, from Chiado’s old romantic past to the future.
